Over 900 individuals "stepped into spring" with Energize Eau Claire County's Move and Win campaign. The campaign, held from April 3 - 30, 2006, focused on increasing physical activity using a pedometer. Participants tracked their activity on-line at the EECC website or on paper logs. The participants who tracked on-line were eligible for daily and weekly prize drawings. There were 28 winners of a $25 Action City play card.
A wrap-up event for the 4-week campaign, Move & Win - Movin' On, was held on May 23rd at Unity Health and Fitness (formerly Eau Claire Atheltic Club.) Participation and success stories were celebrated and ideas to continue being physically active were shared. The event offered many activities and educational sessions for all ages to promote fitness and included use of the volleyball courts and pool at no charge.
